Camps compliment traditional Learning

We are so sure that each learner will take away distinctive and impactful memories from camp with us. It is common knowledge, whether a learner comes through reluctantly or not, attending school camp builds resilience, social skills, self-sufficiency and autonomy, being away from home.

Camp is integral to the learning experience. The different style of learning comes as a breath of fresh air to all learners, especially during that final matric year.

Other than Exam-Readiness, key takeaways are; strengthened emotional intelligence & self-esteem, independence, leadership, environmental awareness, decision-making, planning, communication and teamwork.

Educamp is a great adventure!

It is not uncommon for learners and parents to be anxious about camp. The following thoughts are quite normal…. What happens if they can’t sleep? What happens if they don’t like the food? Who will they share a room with? What will happen if they don’t enjoy the activities? What will happen if they feel homesick? Camp will assist in developing and building upon personal competencies.

Once a decision is made to attend camp, the battle is won. These fears will quickly be overcome once learners take that leap to be independent from parents / guardians. Often when learners are not under the care of their parents or guardians, they will display a more adventurous spirit and will be willing to have a go at things that they may not have tried before. So, don’t worry & come to camp!
