Educamp was founded by Mr. & Mrs. Maibi and has been in operation since 2009. Initially operating as Shadramak Trust, Educamp has grown in leaps and bounds. Today it is at the helm of educational camps in the Free State. Mrs. Maibi has, and still continues to play a pivotal role in ensuring that Educamp provides the best opportunity to prepare for exams. Mrs. Maibi is a distinguished former school principal and brings her wealth of experience into every aspect of Educamp. She is often called upon by the Department of Education (FS) to mentor schools and school principals in order to ensure that targets are met and that learners get the best education possible.
Educamp’s primary focus is preparation for Matric examinations. Bookings are normally taken at school level and not so much at an individual level. Educamp is run with a lot of passion for learners. This is evidenced in the attention to detail to ensure learners are comfortable and focused. When one walks around the camp, there is a sense of tranquillity and purpose. It is the perfect place to rest, read and be ready for exams. There is nothing quite like the beautiful sounds of animals on the farm. 20% of the business of Educamp is to provide a venue for conferencing, training and faith-based entities from time to time.
