Northlink College recently launched its first online talk show called "The Link Show", broadcasted live via the college's social media channels, Facebook and YouTube. The show launched in collaboration with Nickay Productions and was broadcast and streamed live every Thursday at midday during August. This provided Northlink with the opportunity to utilise this platform to celebrate TVET Month as per the Department of Higher Education and Training's (DHET) annual calendar.

Alumni who have completed the BBA in Marketing Management or BCom in Marketing and Management Science are now able to gain CIM exemptions while studying for a globally recognised CIM marketing qualification.

The University of KwaZulu-Natal's School of Built Environment and Development Studies has become the first institution in Africa to receive honorary Bronze Membership of the International Society of City and Regional Planners (Isocarp). The three years of free membership to Isocarp was awarded to town planning lecturer Professor Hangwelani Magidimisha-Chipungu, who has been co-rapporteur for Isocarp for the past two years.

BTE Renewables (BTE) and Thebe Investment Corporation (TIC) have jointly launched a new bursary programme aimed at providing access to tertiary education for learners in beneficiary rural populations. The programme, which kicked-off simultaneously across three provinces, has reached 15 community-based secondary schools. The inaugural event included a two-day engagement initiative, with participation of stakeholder delegates in the regions.

The latest thing that she discovered is why people won't use cannabis products, despite their proven medicinal worth - and she did it as part of her MBA thesis, winning a distinction in the process.
