Teacher training coding and roboticsAfrica Teen Geeks in partnership with the Department of Education and UNICEF have launched a ground-breaking initiative to help close the digital education gap in South Africa. 2,000 learners from 1,200 schools will be trained by the Johannesburg based ATG, Africa's largest computer science non-profit organisation. Those teachers will then implement their newly acquired digital skills into the curriculum and build the IT potential of 1.2 million school children across the country.
