A teacher union operating in the private sector has decided to take a series of actions to ensure decent working and living conditions for teachers and also to strengthen its capacities and ensure that teachers’ voices are really heard by the public authorities.
The annual United Nations' (UN) World Teachers' Day to honour one of the world's most essential professions, teaching, was celebrated yesterday, 5 October. Unesco's theme for the 2020 commemoration naturally links to the current education climate, as a result of Covid-19, "Teachers: leading in crisis, reimagining the future".
